Le Clos de Serre

Welcome
to our family house
in Provence

Far away from the noise, so close to the World...

At the end of the country road, surrounded by the verdant contryside, Le Clos de Serre welcomes you.

In front of the old farmhouse, the garden with a Mediteranean touch: cypress, fig trees, oleanders, rosemary and lavender. For more freshness in summer, the shade of the century-old lime and magnolia and the arbours under vine and wisteria. For relaxation, a true swimming pool, always at the right temperature, and in front of the pool, the summer lounge and kitchen.

Three well-appointed rooms for two to four guests offer their decidedly modern surroundings.

Le Clos de Serre is our family home. We are happy to open it to our guests, just as we designed it for us and our large family: comfortable, friendly, simple and quiet.

Our sincere hope is that you feel at home in the rich, verdant countryside of Les Valayans and that you enjoy the quiet atmosphere. You will feel how comfortable one can be, resting deep in a hammock, with the songs of birds and the cicadas. Or maybe you will enjoy playing petanque (the typical game of bowls played in Provence)? Or relax for a while in the hot bubbling spa?

And yet, you will be close to all the attractions our region has to offer: only ten minutes from the A7 motorway, fifteen minutes from the city walls of Avignon... Less than one hour from Arles, the Camargue, Nîmes... And under the benevolent watch of our "Giant of Provence", the Mont Ventoux.

Marie-Thérèse & Jean Fournier

Just retired two years ago, after an active, well-travelled professional life, happy to welcome you, we will strive to make your stay a memorable one.

We will welcome you in French, of course, and also in English, Spanish, German and - why not? - bits and pieces of Scandinavian languages... We regret that we can't talk Dutch, but we are certain that, with a mix of French, English, body language and some good humour, our friends from Flanders and the Netherlands will be able to understand us...
